HSC Trial Examinations

The HSC Trial Examinations begin on 17/8/20 and conclude on 28/8/20 - Weeks 5 and 6.

Students do not need to remain at school once they have completed an examination - they can sign out and go home. Students who cannot get home will be able to work in the senior areas/ library if available. They need to wear uniform, bring pens and other stationery in a clear bag, and bring water (in clear containers). Phones are not allowed in the exam areas - they can be left with the DP or Year Adviser or trusted person.

Students will not be given additional time if they are late for examinations. All students have been issued with a hard copy of their timetables and can also access it via Google Yr 12 Wellbeing. [Examinations Timetable PDF]

There are no early exits from exams, unless students are taken ill. If students are absent on the day of an examination, the school should be contacted on 4421 8022 and informed, so Mrs Carson the Year Adviser and Mrs McDonald the DP are aware. Students will need to complete an Special Circumstances Appeal, accompanied by supporting documentation eg a doctor's certificate, to avoid receiving an N Warning letter for missing an assessment task and receiving 0. Mrs McDonald has these Appeal forms.

All exams are part of the assessment schedule for Year 12. Catch up examinations will be held for those who miss exams, as it is vital all outcomes for courses are met.

The Trials are a very important component of Year 12 studies. All students need to be studying at home and in study periods, in order to build opportunities for successful results. The Homework Centre is open on Mondays and Wednesdays to support students, from 3 - 5pm. Good luck to all our Year 12!

Please contact Mrs Carson or Mrs McDonald if you have any concerns or questions.
