Jeans for Genes day

This Friday 6 August is Jeans for Genes day! Wear a pair of jeans to school with your regular school shirt and jumper to show support for the Childrens' Medical Research Institute, which aims to raise funds to conduct research into genetic disorders which affect children all around Australia.

Did you know that 1 in 20 kids born in Australia are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? This includes some students from Shoalhaven High School and other members of our school community. The more we can raise awareness of the need to conduct research into these issues, the sooner we'll have cures!
