01 May 2020
Dear Parents and Carers,
From Monday 11 May 2020 (Week 3) Shoalhaven High School will commence Phase 1 of its COVID-19 Managed Return to School for students. All NSW Public Schools begin this phased return to school from 11 May. Phase 1 requires students to be attending school at least 1 day per week and The Departments PHASE 1 plan is attached.
The timetable for the Managed Return to School for students at Shoalhaven High School is attached and we request that students and parents follow this timetable. Please see the attached timetables for mainstream and support class students. These timetables will be available on the Sentral Parent Portal from 1:00pm Friday 8 May.
Please Note: Classes will now conclude at 2:00pm. However, from 2:00-2:40 supervision is still provided at school and students who remain will participate in flexible learning and wellbeing activities with their Year Advisor. With signed parent permission students can leave school at 2:00pm. However, please note that permission must be received in writing (once) for students to able to leave. If you are picking up your child from school, please remember to observe social distancing and where possible remain in your car. Shoalhaven High School will be following these new bell times for the remainder of Term 3, as we transition from remote learning to a phased return to school for all students.
I would like to thank all students and parents for your ongoing support throughout the COVID-19 circumstance and encourage all students to continue completing and submitting their online learning and returning of hard copy work. If students have questions regarding online learning please message your teachers through the Google Classroom. Should you have any questions regarding the Managed Return to School please contact the school by phone – 02 4421 8022 or email – shoalhaven-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
Yours sincerely,
Damian Rees
Principal
