Dear Parents/Carer’s
As you may have already read and heard the Premier today announced the extension of the Regional NSW Lockdown (stay-at-home orders) for the Shoalhaven LGA until 14 days of no COVID cases has been reached. This means that in line with Government restrictions students will continue to learn from home for the remainder of Term 3. More information about the return to school in Term 4 will be provided later.
I want to take this time to thank all our families and wider community for their support during this difficult time in NSW and continue to remind our families that “we are all in this together”. We as a staff understand the difficulties that learning from home can present and considering this please ensure your child has adequate screen free time along with lots of rest and breaks throughout the school day.
As a result of the extension to learning from home, students will continue to work through the content provided last week for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of week 10 and as a result no new work will need to be collected in week 10. Our staff will still continue to check in with our students during these days but the focus for our students will be to catch up and clarify the work that has been presented over the previous 4 weeks. We thank you in anticipation for your support our staff continue to ensure our students maintain continuity in their learning.
Please ensure your children continue work through these materials at their own pace and be flexible in the work they complete. As a result of the extension of the stay-at-home orders our remaining Year 12 Trial HSC exams will not proceed.
As we navigate through these difficult and uncertain times we do so as a whole school and wider community. Together we will be strong and ensure the education of our students, your children, will continue and we encourage all our community to aim higher!
We as a staff express our sincere thanks and support we receive from our students, families and community during these times. Please remember “we are here and we are listening”.
Look after yourselves and stay safe.
Kind regards,
Damian Rees
